MASS MEETING AT GLIDE:
The Poor People's Campaign (PPC) - modeled on Rev. Martin Luther King Jr's 1968 campaign of the same name - has issued a "National Call for Moral Revival." This is the only California stop of a 2019 national tour of 22 cities, and features the inspiring speakers, the Reverends William Barber, II and Liz Theoharis PPC's co-founders. The tour's purpose is to Do MORE to end poverty, racism, militarism and to end the devastation of the planet by the effects of climate change. M-O-R-E stands for Mobilizing, Organizing, Registering (to vote) and Educating. Don't miss this rare opportunity in the Bay Area to hear these two dynamic preachers trying to save the heart and soul of democracy. People ask how can we afford to take care of the poor; this campaign asks how can we afford not to! This campaign culminates in a "Poor People's Assembly and Moral March" in Wash., D.C., June 20th, 2020.
Join the March and Mass meeting Dec. 11 to support this movement's goals. Go home to work for peaceful change in your community, the nation, and the world!
