Seek Peace and Pursue It: Jewish Perspectives on Peace

When: Sunday, January 28 2018 @ 12:30 pm - - 02:00pm
Event Type:
Contact: Richard O. Duda
Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Al
505 E. Charleston
Palo Alto, CA 94306
Description: Rabbi Amy Eilberg, the author of "From Enemy to Friend: Jewish Wisdom and the Pursuit of Peace," will engage us in the study of key sacred texts from the Jewish tradition about the pursuit of peace. These texts have come alive for her in many years of work in interfaith dialogue, intra-communal dialogue, and engagement with Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilders. These wisdom teachings are important for the ways in which we conduct our personal relationships, and explore what it means to be a seeker of peace and a seeker of justice in today’s America.
